RATAN TATA A GREAT HUMAN Ratan Tata is an Indian businessman and philanthropist. He was born on December 28, 1937 in Bombay (now Mumbai), India. Tata is the chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata Group, one of India's largest conglomerates. Tata began his career at Tata Steel and worked in various companies within the Tata Group before becoming the chairman of Tata Sons in 1991.
